A Season of Stewardship — And a Word About Where We're Going
Dear friend in Christ, As we enter stewardship season, I want to write to you the way I'd speak to you — not the way a form letter would. Our congregation has asked me, as pastor, to step back from the administrative and share what I actually see from this pulpit. So here it is.
We are a congregation of 280 souls, and in the year since I've been with you we have welcomed fourteen new members, baptized eight children, and buried six beloved saints. We have run the food shelf every Wednesday, hosted the English-learner class on Monday nights, and kept the doors open for the AA group that meets in the fellowship hall three times a week. Our 2026 ministry budget is $412,000. A third of that goes out the door in mission giving and community outreach. The rest keeps the lights on — literally, the utilities line is $18,000 this year — and keeps me, our music director, and our part-time administrator employed and able to do the work you called us here to do. Beloved, I am asking you to prayerfully consider your pledge for 2026. If God has blessed you with increase this year, consider increasing your pledge. If you are in a season of less, give what you can give. And if you've never pledged before, this is a good year to begin.
Will you return your pledge card by November 15?
